Farley Brown shows a softly layered geometric weave in warm taupe-brown and pale linen-like tones. The pattern reads as textured and organic rather than sharply graphic, giving the fabric a calm, tailored feel.

About this fabric

Woven in 19% cotton, 26% polyester and 55% viscose, this 498gsm fabric has the substance to hang well while still suiting blinds and soft furnishings. The visible design is a small-to-medium geometric repeat with a mottled, leaf-like texture that breaks up the brown ground with lighter creamy highlights. Its warm taupe-brown base feels earthy and muted, with enough contrast in the weave to catch the light without looking bright. The 137cm width and 35cm horizontal repeat make it practical for measured furnishing schemes, and it should be dry cleaned only with a dry iron if needed. Martindale 16000 and shade change 3000 further position it as a decorative interior fabric rather than a hard-use upholstery cloth.

How to use it

Use Farley Brown for relaxed curtains, Roman blinds or cushions where you want a warm, textural brown with subtle pattern interest. It works especially well with chalky neutrals, smoked oak and aged brass.

Pair with parchment neutrals and dark timber for a grounded, tailored look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
