About this fabric

This Carnegie Tweed colourway from Porter & Stone’s Animal Kingdom collection is a fabric with a subtle crosshatch texture that reads close and even across the surface. The 78% polyester and 22% cotton composition supports a practical, stable feel, while the 140cm width makes it straightforward for upholstery projects. Its pattern repeat is 0cm vertical by 4.3cm horizontal, though the effect is more of a textural weave than a bold motif. In this shade, the cloth looks like a muted taupe-brown with a slightly dry, tweedy depth and a soft low sheen that catches the light gently.

How to use it

Use this shade on sofas, dining chairs or ottomans where a smart neutral is needed without looking flat. It pairs especially well with oak, putty paint colours and darker accent woods for a layered, natural scheme.

A quietly tailored neutral that works beautifully on hardworking seating and relaxed cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
