Carnegie Mulberry
Animal Kingdom Fabric
Carnegie Mulberry is a quietly rich plain weave with a deep mulberry-brown cast and a softly napped look. The surface reads matte and close-textured, with a warm, earthy depth rather than a bright red or plum tone.

About this fabric
This fabric is from Porter & Stone’s Animal Kingdom collection and is supplied at 140cm wide, with a 0cm vertical repeat and a 4.3cm horizontal repeat. The composition is 78% polyester and 22% cotton, giving the cloth a practical blended handle while keeping the visual finish soft and grounded. In this colourway, the mulberry note is subdued into a brown-led shade with a slight wine undertone, so it feels darker and more restrained than a true berry. The tightly woven texture visible in the swatch gives it a smooth, tailored appearance that works well where a neat, understated finish is wanted.
How to use it
Use this deep brown-mulberry tone to anchor wood furniture, tan leather, and brushed brass details. It is especially effective on upholstered chairs or cushions where its muted warmth can add depth without shouting for attention.
A rich, muted brown that suits tailored upholstery and warm layered interiors.

Pairs well with
Carnegie Mulberry is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
