Carrara green

Additions Fabriccarrara/fa1/mea

Carrara Green has a soft ivory ground washed with painterly vein-like strokes in sage, olive, taupe and faded blush. The abstract pattern feels organic and airy, with the colour sitting lightly rather than boldly across the surface.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has a natural handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The design is defined by an irregular network of crackled, watercolour-like lines, where muted greens and earthy browns are broken up by occasional pink and blue-grey accents. On the pale background, the green notes read as fresh but restrained, giving the colourway a cooler, more lifted look than a deeper woodland tone. The repeat measures 35.5cm horizontal and 55.6cm vertical, and the fabric is dry clean only, iron safe, and not fire retardant.

How to use it

This colourway works well in rooms that need pattern without heaviness, especially against limestone, pale timber or brushed brass. Its muted green and blush flecks make it easy to layer with linen plains, soft taupes and weathered neutrals.

Use with natural woods and quiet neutrals to let the painterly movement stay in focus.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
