Rue Linen FabricSAF0347-31

Rue Linen Mauve is a quietly tonal fabric with a soft mauve-grey cast and a dry linen look. The surface reads calm and understated, with just enough texture to keep the colour from feeling flat.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a plain, linen-style weave that gives the mauve shade a relaxed, lightly speckled depth rather than a polished finish. At 241 gsm and 84 threads per cm, it feels substantial enough for upholstery while still remaining suitable for drapery, and the 139 cm usable width supports practical making-up. With no pattern repeat, the fabric is easy to match and lets the muted colour do the work. In this colourway, the mauve sits closer to grey than pink, creating a cool, modern softness that suits calm interiors.

How to use it

Use Rue Linen Mauve on an accent chair, headboard or tailored curtains where the muted purple-grey tone can read elegant without becoming dominant. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalk white and brushed metal finishes.

A restrained mauve with a linen-like texture that works across tailored upholstery and soft curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
