About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet has a usable width of 140 cm and a substantial 570 gsm weight, which suits it particularly well to upholstery. The 79 threads per cm help create a dense, refined pile, while the 70 cm horizontal repeat gives the design a broad, sweeping rhythm. In this colourway the fig tone sits between blackberry and aubergine, with cooler purple notes lifting against the darker ground. The finish is plush and slightly lustrous, so the pattern appears and softens as the light moves across it.

How to use it

Use Icaria Fig on an armchair, ottoman or banquet seating where the plum tone can add depth without feeling brash. It also works beautifully with walnut wood, smoked brass and muted pink or taupe accents.
