Curios Fabrics FabricSAF0079-03

Capuchins Boysenberry brings the Curios Fabrics design to life in a deep, fruit-led plum tone set against a soft pale ground. The large-scale monkeys, leaves, birds and fruit read as a lively botanical scene with a painterly finish.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is supplied as a 140 cm wide textile with a 91 cm vertical repeat and a 140 cm horizontal repeat, so the design is intended to be seen in full, uninterrupted panels. At 300 gsm, it has the substantial body associated with upholstery-weight fabric rather than a floaty drape. The boysenberry colourway balances vivid magenta flowers and purple birds with fresh green foliage, while the cream ground keeps the pattern feeling bright rather than heavy. The printed surface has a smooth, tightly woven look, with the detailed motifs sitting clearly on the cloth.

How to use it

Use it on statement armchairs, ottomans or a banquette where the plum florals and primate motif can be appreciated up close. It also works well with walnut, aged brass and chalky neutrals to offset the saturated berry tones.

Pair with quiet neutrals to let the vivid plum accents and painterly motifs do the talking.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
