Delphiniums Indigo

Curios Fabrics FabricSAF0159-01

Delphiniums Indigo is a painterly floral with clusters of indigo, blue and soft stone petals scattered across a pale ivory ground. The brushy motif feels light and fluid, but the saturated blue accents give the design real presence.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Curios Fabrics cloth is supplied as a 140 cm usable width fabric on a 60 m standard length, with a 60 cm vertical repeat and 69 cm horizontal repeat. At 265 gsm and 34.1 threads per cm, it sits comfortably in a versatile mid-weight range suited to both upholstery and drapery. In this colourway the petals read as cool indigo, powder blue and muted taupe-beige, with the white ground keeping the pattern open and airy. The hand-painted floral marks have a soft, layered edge that makes the repeat feel organic rather than formal.

How to use it

Use it to soften an upholstered armchair, ottoman or bench where the indigo tones can stand out against pale walls. It also works well for curtains in a light-filled room, where the washed blues keep the scheme fresh rather than heavy.

Pair with pale timber, chalky neutrals and brushed brass for a fresh, airy scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
