About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet has a dense, plush handle and a calm, low-sheen finish that catches the light in narrow, horizontal ripples. The 765gsm weight and 48 threads per cm make it a substantial cloth, and the 140cm usable width suits upholstery projects with generous coverage. In this colourway, the lilac reads muted rather than sugary, with a greyed undertone that keeps the look refined. There is no pattern repeat, so the focus stays on the colour depth and the velvet pile itself.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, sofa cushions or a headboard where the cool lilac tone can sit against pale plaster, dove grey or walnut. It brings a lifted, elegant note without becoming overly bright.
