Boho Velvets Sandstone

Icaria and Boho Velvets VelvetSAF0133-24

Boho Velvets Sandstone reads as a warm, earthy velvet with a softly mottled rust-sand tone. The pile catches the light gently, giving the surface a lived-in depth rather than a high-gloss shine.

About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet has a substantial handle, with a 765 gsm weight and a usable width of 140 cm, making it well suited to upholstery. The finish shown here is a muted sandstone rust, sitting between terracotta and earthy red, with darker flecks that soften the overall colour. Its dense 48 threads per cm construction gives the cloth a fine, closely worked texture that helps the colour look rich and grounded. With no pattern repeat, it presents as a straightforward plain velvet that relies on tone and texture for interest.

How to use it

Use it on a compact sofa, slipper chair or banquette where the warm rust shade can anchor the room. It sits especially well with oat, tobacco and weathered oak finishes.

Pair with warm timber and natural linens for an earthy, quietly luxurious scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
