About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet has a substantial 570 gsm weight and a dense 79 threads per cm, which gives it the plush, closely worked handle visible in the image. The 140 cm usable width and 70 cm horizontal repeat suit tailored upholstery projects where the elongated vertical mark-making can be shown to advantage. In this colourway, the mix of olive, forest and blackened green reads dark and moody, with brighter lifted areas that flash softly as the pile changes direction. With no performance features noted, it is best considered for decorative or low-to-moderate wear upholstered applications rather than hard-use contract settings.

How to use it

Pair this deep evergreen velvet with walnut, aged brass or warm neutral linens to balance its dramatic depth. It works especially well on accent chairs, ottomans and cushions where the tonal variation can catch the light.
