Sanderson

Calathea Samphire

Calathea Samphire brings a leafy, tropical rhythm in layered sage, olive and cream tones across a warm ivory ground. The oversized foliage and striped leaf forms give the design an easy, botanical presence.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is from the Indoor Outdoor Prints collection and is specified as Outdoor, with a usable width of 138.8 cm and a 220 gsm weight. The print shows a generous repeat of 91 cm vertically and 68.5 cm horizontally, which suits the sweeping clusters of leaves visible in the artwork. In this colourway, the greens stay soft and sunlit rather than sharp, with pale cream leaves and muted olive detailing giving the pattern a fresh, breezy finish. The visible weave reads smooth and practical, with enough substance to support everyday outdoor or indoor use.

How to use it

Use this soft sage colourway to lift a conservatory, garden room or covered terrace, where the ivory ground will keep the room feeling open. It also works well with rattan, washed oak and linen textures for a relaxed layered scheme.

Pairs well with pale timbers and woven neutrals for an airy, indoor-outdoor look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Calathea Samphire without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
