Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0054-03

Cheslyn Teal/Cream pairs a softly weathered teal geometric motif with a creamy woven ground. The result is crisp but mellow, with the pattern sitting lightly across the surface rather than feeling stark.

About this fabric

Cheslyn Teal/Cream from Sanderson’s Orwell Weaves is a substantial fabric with a 140 cm usable width, a 25 m standard roll length, a 8.5 cm vertical repeat, a 24 cm horizontal repeat, a weight of 414 gsm and 56 threads per cm. The woven structure gives the design a tactile, slightly slubby handle, while the teal pattern appears broken and textural against the pale cream base. The colourway reads cool and airy rather than saturated, with the teal softened to a chalky finish that keeps the repeating diamond motif from feeling too sharp. Its weight and density make it feel more suited to furnishing than to sheer decorative work.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, ottoman or banquette where the cream ground can brighten a room without losing practicality. It also works well alongside pale oak, plaster pinks or muted blue-green accents for a calm, tailored scheme.

The cool teal pattern lifts the creamy ground, giving a fresh but grounded look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
