Fen Wedgwood

Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0445-06

Fen Wedgwood shows a cool Wedgwood blue broken by a fine cream grid, giving the swatch a crisp, woven look. The small-scale pattern reads neatly and evenly across the surface, with the blue sitting softly rather than brightly.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Orwell Weaves collection is a substantial 560gsm textile with a usable width of 144 cm, which supports its suitability for upholstery. The 3 cm by 3 cm repeat creates a compact checked effect that feels regular and controlled rather than bold. In this colourway, the blue has a pale, airy quality with a slightly powdery cast, lifted by the warm ivory grounds between the threads. The 57 threads per cm specification is reflected in the tight, precise weave visible in the swatch, giving the fabric a clean tailored finish.

How to use it

Use Fen Wedgwood on a small sofa, dining chairs or a headboard where the cool blue can keep the room feeling fresh. It pairs especially well with white-painted timber, pale oak and chalky neutrals.

A cool, tailored blue that adds crisp freshness to structured upholstery or a refined accent chair.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
