Angelique Wedgwood/Sable

Country House Fabrics FabricSAF0103-02

Angelique in Wedgwood/Sable shows a classical floral trail in powdery blue, ivory and sable brown across a warm cream ground. The design feels elegant and airy, with the blue petals giving the pattern a gentle lift against the richer vine outlines.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is a substantial 350 gsm cloth with a usable width of 127 cm, making it a practical choice for upholstery and other softer furnishing uses. The pattern repeat is 38 cm vertically and 63 cm horizontally, and the large-scale floral motif is clearly visible in the swatch as branching stems, layered blooms and small sprigs. In this Wedgwood/Sable colourway, the palette is distinctly soft and country-house in mood: pale Wedgwood blues sit alongside oatmeal, ivory and sable-brown outlines, so the pattern reads lighter than a classic dark floral. The texture visible in the image suggests a closely woven surface with enough body to hold the design crisply while keeping the overall effect relaxed rather than formal.

How to use it

Use this colourway to soften a tailored sofa, an accent chair or a window seat where its pale blue flowers can brighten a room without feeling sharp. It works especially well with stone paintwork, natural wood and muted brass, where the sable detailing brings definition.

Pair with warm oak, linen neutrals and aged brass for a calm country-house scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
