Darter Indigo

Caspian Weaves FabricSAF0310-04

Darter Indigo is a deeply shaded blue-green fabric with a subtle vertical texture and a low, even surface sheen. The colour reads as indigo first, then teal in the light, giving the swatch a cool, atmospheric depth.

About this fabric

Woven for the Caspian Weaves collection by Sanderson, this fabric has a usable width of 142 cm and comes on a standard 40 m roll. Its substantial 555 gsm weight and dense 64 threads/cm construction point to a hard-wearing cloth that is best suited to upholstery. The surface appears almost plain from a distance, but close up the fine vertical striation gives the indigo ground a refined, tailored character. The tone is dark and cool, with teal notes threaded through the weave so the colour feels richer than a flat navy and less saturated than a jewel blue.

How to use it

Use Darter Indigo on a club chair, bench or fully upholstered headboard where its dark teal undertone can anchor the room. It pairs especially well with walnut, brushed brass and pale linens for contrast.

A moody blue-green that brings depth and polish to tailored seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
