Darter Nettle

Caspian Weaves FabricSAF0310-01

Darter Nettle is a softly textured plain weave in a muted nettle green, with a mellow, slightly earthy cast. The close weave gives the surface a calm, even look rather than a strong pattern effect.

About this fabric

Part of Sanderson’s Caspian Weaves collection, this fabric is specified at 142 cm usable width with a substantial 555 gsm weight, making it feel sturdy and versatile in use. The weave reads as fine and regular, with subtle vertical striations that catch the light gently across the surface. Its colour sits between olive and yellow-green, softened by a dusty, natural tone that keeps it from feeling bright or glossy. With a 0 cm vertical and horizontal repeat, it presents as a true plain, ideal when you want texture without motif.

How to use it

Use this muted green to bring an organic note to cushions, dining chairs or a loose cover, especially with oak, rattan and warm neutrals. It also sits well beside terracotta, sandstone and aged brass for a grounded, layered scheme.

A quietly textured green that works across soft furnishings and seating for a natural, easygoing look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
