Ishi Nettle/Celeste

Caspian Weaves FabricSAF0316-04

Ishi Nettle/Celeste shows a cool celeste pattern scattered across a pale, creamy ground, creating a fresh vertical rhythm in the weave. The design feels crisp and light, with the turquoise accents sitting cleanly against the softer base.

About this fabric

From Sanderson’s Caspian Weaves collection, this Fabric is supplied with a usable width of 140 cm and a standard length of 60 m, with a 42 cm vertical repeat and 35 cm horizontal repeat. At 230 gsm and 36.2 threads per cm, it reads as a reassuring mid-weight textile rather than a sheer or heavy upholstery cloth. Visually, the colourway balances nettle-tinged cream with celeste teal marks that look slightly brushed and organic, giving the pattern a lively but controlled surface. The vertical striations and repeated blue-green accents keep the cloth feeling tailored and contemporary, while the pale ground preserves an open, airy effect.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, bench or smart curtains where the cool celeste accents can add colour without closing down the room. It works especially well with sandy neutrals, washed woods and brushed brass for a calm, tailored scheme.

Pair it with pale oak and chalky neutrals to keep the celeste pattern fresh and airy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
