Elm Denim

Country Woodland Fabrics FabricSAF0205-02

Elm Denim pairs a pale ground with rows of softly printed botanical sprigs in a washed denim blue. The repeated leaf motif feels orderly and airy, with just enough pattern to add movement without overpowering a room.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Country Woodland Fabrics collection has a substantial 499 gsm handle and a 141 cm usable width, making it well suited to upholstery. The design shows slim, feathered leaf sprays arranged in a vertical repeat, with each motif rendered in a muted denim blue against an off-white ground. A 35 cm vertical repeat and 17.5 cm horizontal repeat give the pattern a neat, rhythmic structure that reads clearly from a distance. The colourway feels cool and lightly faded rather than bright, which keeps the overall look calm and easy to live with.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, bench seat or cushions where the soft blue pattern can sit comfortably with painted timber, linen and pale oak. It also works well in relaxed country schemes that need a fresh botanical note without heavy contrast.

A fresh denim-blue leaf motif that brings a calm, country feel to classic interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Elm Denim without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
