Hinton Wild Honey

Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0446-02

Hinton Wild Honey shows a crisp herringbone-style weave in a warm honey-gold tone, with the lighter yarns giving the surface a softly textured, almost shimmering finish. The small repeat keeps the pattern neat and disciplined, while the overall effect stays inviting and sunny.

About this fabric

Woven with a substantial handle and a weight of 841 gsm, this fabric feels firmly suited to upholstery rather than light drapery. The visible weave is tight and regular, with fine zigzag lines in golden ochre and pale cream that create a clear chevron rhythm across the cloth. Its 140 cm usable width and small 1.5 cm vertical and horizontal repeat make it practical for tailored seating, bench covers and cushions where the pattern can read cleanly. The threads-per-cm count of 107 suggests a dense construction, which helps explain the fabric’s crisp, structured appearance in this swatch. The Wild Honey colourway reads warm and earthy rather than bright, with enough depth to add richness without looking heavy.

How to use it

Use this golden weave on a classic armchair, dining seats or a loose cushion to bring warmth to oak, walnut and painted wood finishes. It works especially well in rooms with cream walls or natural linen, where the honey tone can glow without dominating.

A golden herringbone weave that brings a warm, lively finish to tailored seating and cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
