Hemsby Ochre

Sanderson Home Fabrics FabricSAF0263-02

Hemsby Ochre brings a soft geometric rhythm to the surface, with warm cream links set against a pale, sunlit ochre ground. The design reads crisp and orderly, but the colour keeps it gentle rather than sharp.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Home Fabrics textile has a substantial handle at 590 gsm, making it well suited to upholstery, while the 31 threads per cm suggest a tightly woven cloth with good definition in the pattern. The 133.5 cm usable width and 30 m standard length make it practical for larger furnishings and repeated making-up. In this colourway, the ochre sits quietly in the background as a muted golden wash, while the cream lattice stands out with a drier, chalkier finish. Small orange-gold pinpoints at the joins add a warmer accent and stop the palette from feeling flat.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, bench or headboard where the medium-scale geometry can be seen clearly. It works especially well with oak, cane and parchment-toned accessories to keep the ochre feeling airy and warm.

Pair with natural woods and quiet neutrals to let the ochre lattice glow.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
