Woodland Plain Sea Blue

Melford Weaves FabricSAF0154-06

Woodland Plain Sea Blue has a calm, pebble-like surface and a cool, washed blue tone. The close weave gives it a quietly textured look rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

Part of Sanderson’s Melford Weaves collection, this plain fabric has a usable width of 142 cm and comes with a standard length of 30 m. The 484 gsm weight and 15 threads per cm give it a substantial, close-packed handle that reads as durable and upholstery-friendly. In this colourway, the blue sits between sea spray and pale slate, with a softened, slightly heathered depth that catches the light without looking shiny. With no pattern repeat vertically or horizontally, the woven texture itself provides the interest across the surface.

How to use it

Use this sea blue on a sofa or armchair where you want colour that feels cool and restorative rather than bright. It pairs well with bleached oak, chalky neutrals, and softer greys for a fresh coastal scheme.

A cool, textured blue that feels easy and grounded on sofas, chairs, and cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
