Woodland Plain Silver

Melford Weaves FabricSAF0154-03

Woodland Plain Silver is a quietly textural weave with a soft silver-grey ground and tiny warm flecks across the surface. The effect is calm and understated, with the weave detail doing the visual work rather than any pattern.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Melford Weaves collection is a plain woven cloth with a substantial 484gsm weight, making it feel robust and tailored in use. The 142 cm usable width gives generous coverage, while the 0 cm horizontal and vertical repeats confirm there is no pattern to match. Visually, the colour reads as a cool-leaning silver grey softened by beige and oatmeal specks, which lift the surface and stop it looking flat. The 15 threads per cm create a compact, honest weave with a dry, tactile character that suits it to upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Use this soft silver-grey on clean-lined armchairs, banquettes or occasional cushions where the texture can be appreciated up close. It pairs well with pale oak, chalk white and deeper charcoal accents for a calm, layered room.

A muted silver-grey weave with a warm fleck for easy, understated upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
