About this fabric

This colourway sits between forest green and charcoal, with a cool slate undertone that softens the depth of the shade. The plain weave is visible in the image as a fine, even grid, and the 84 threads per cm specification supports that neatly woven finish. At 241gsm it has enough substance for upholstery as well as curtains, while the 139cm usable width makes it practical for larger interior projects. With no pattern repeat to interrupt the surface, the fabric keeps its understated, continuous look across a room.

How to use it

Use Rue Linen Slate on an armchair, banquette or cushion set where the deep green tone can anchor lighter woods and pale plaster walls. It also makes a refined curtain when paired with brass, oak or stone finishes, letting the slate colour stay cool and architectural.

A cool, quietly tailored green that works beautifully on clean-lined upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
