Sessile Leaf Artichoke

Pinetum Prints FabricSAF0404-03

Sessile Leaf Artichoke has a fresh, herbaceous feel, with neat leaf motifs set across a soft artichoke-green ground. The cream outlines and blue-green accents keep the design lively without losing its calm, country-house character.

About this fabric

This printed fabric from Sanderson’s Pinetum Prints collection has a usable width of 137 cm and a standard roll length of 60 m, with a 14 cm vertical repeat and 17 cm horizontal repeat. At 252 gsm and 38 threads per cm, it reads as a sturdy mid-weight cloth rather than something sheer or overly heavy. The colourway is a muted artichoke green, softened by a slightly warm, matte ground that lets the small leaf forms stand out clearly. Cream outlines and cool blue-green detailing add contrast, giving the repeat a crisp, botanical look with a gentle, vintage-leaning feel.

How to use it

Use it on cushions, occasional chairs or a tailored bench where the small-scale leaf pattern can add movement without dominating the room. It sits especially well with ivory paint, weathered oak and brushed brass, which echo its soft green and pale detailing.

Pairs easily with pale wood, creamy neutrals and brass for a fresh, leafy scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sessile Leaf Artichoke without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
