Alder Beige

Bampton FabricF4884-10

Alder Beige is a softly textured neutral with a fine herringbone-style check that reads calm and understated. Its warm oatmeal-beige ground gives the weave a gentle, tailored character.

About this fabric

Woven in a 140cm width and composed of 51% Cotton, 16% Polyester, 14% Viscose, 12% Linen and 7% Wool, this fabric has a balanced, natural handle with enough structure for versatile use. The repeat is listed as V 0cm / H 0cm approx, and the tiny diagonal pattern appears as an all-over micro herringbone rather than a defined motif. In this colourway, the beige sits in a soft oatmeal range with a faintly creamy cast, so the texture is visible without feeling busy or stark. The blend of cotton, linen and wool keeps the surface looking organic, while the polyester and viscose add a smoother, more even finish.

How to use it

Use Alder Beige for tailored curtains, blind trims or upholstery on a restrained armchair where the warm neutral tone can settle into the scheme. It works especially well with oak, chalk white and muted bronze finishes.

A quiet neutral that brings texture and warmth without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
