About this fabric

The wallpaper is built from pale blue-grey and slate-toned texture, crossed by narrow ochre bands with an organic, hand-drawn undulation. Fine stippled detail across the ground keeps the surface from appearing flat, while the muted contrast makes the warm lines read as subtle highlights rather than bold stripes. It has a 34.3 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 0 cm horizontal repeat, with a usable width of 68.6 cm and a standard roll length of 10.05 m. At 156 gsm, this is a lightweight wallcovering suited to maintaining the delicate, airy character visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use Ripley Ochre/Slate across a quiet bedroom, hallway or sitting-room wall, where its cool slate base can sit alongside chalky whites and pale timber. Pick up the restrained ochre threads with a small cushion, lamp or ceramic accent rather than introducing a stronger yellow.

Use the cool slate ground with soft whites, adding ochre accents to echo the fine warm wave lines.
