Amanpuri Original Chintz

Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics FabricSAF0026-02

Amanpuri Original Chintz is shown here on a warm ivory ground, scattered with densely painted florals and foliage in vivid pink, purple, blue, green and gold tones. The winding branches give the design a lush, traditional chintz character with plenty of movement across the cloth.

About this fabric

This Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics textile has a usable width of 137 cm and a substantial weight of 402 gsm, which gives the pattern a confident, upholstered presence. The print feels especially rich in this colourway: bright raspberry and magenta flowers sit against creamy ground tones, while cooler blues and mossy greens keep the overall effect balanced rather than overly sweet. A 64 cm vertical repeat and matching 137 cm horizontal repeat indicate a broad, expansive layout that suits larger pieces of furniture well. With 55 threads per cm, the cloth should read as closely woven and crisp beneath the detailed chintz-style motif.

How to use it

Use this colourway to bring warmth and pattern into a classic sitting room, especially on a sofa, armchair or ottoman where the ivory ground can keep the look bright. It also works well with painted wood, dark timbers and brass accents, which will complement the jewel-toned flowers.

A richly patterned statement fabric that suits an upholstered chair or feature curtain where its vivid florals can shine.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
