Chelsea Pink/Celadon

Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics FabricSAF0121-03

Chelsea Pink/Celadon is a light, painterly floral with a soft cream ground and generous pink roses scattered through celadon, mint and leaf-green foliage. The overall effect is fresh and romantic, with enough body in the cloth to keep the pattern looking crisp.

About this fabric

This Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics textile has a usable width of 139 cm and a substantial 380 gsm handle, which gives the floral a reassuringly upholstered feel rather than a gossamer drape. The design repeats in a 44.5 cm vertical and 69 cm horizontal pattern, and that larger repeat suits the open, bouquet-like layout visible in the swatch. In this colourway, the pinks read cool and luminous against the creamy ground, while the celadon leaves add a breezy, springlike lift. At 63 threads per cm, the weave supports a detailed printed surface that keeps the petals, buds and foliage looking soft but clearly defined.

How to use it

This colourway works well on an accent chair, headboard or window seat where its pale ground can brighten the room without feeling stark. Pair it with white-painted wood, aged brass and gentle green accents to echo the celadon in the print.

Use with painted timber and quiet neutrals to let the fresh pink-and-celadon bloom stay airy.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chelsea Pink/Celadon without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
