Avening Neutral/Multi

Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics FabricSAF0009-01

A soft cream ground sets off a lively scatter of painted flowers and trailing stems in Avening Neutral/Multi. The palette feels fresh and sunny, with clear pinks, oranges, blues and yellows lifting the design from the background.

About this fabric

This Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics textile has a substantial 380 gsm weight, making the cloth feel more suited to structured use than a light drape. The usable width is 137 cm, and the design repeats vertically at 63 cm, which suits the generous, all-over floral layout seen here. On the face of the fabric, the base reads as a warm cream with a gentle mottled effect, while the flowers bring in crisp botanical colour without making the overall look heavy. The mix of painterly blooms and slender green stems gives it a country-house feel that still stays bright and airy.

How to use it

Pair this creamy multi floral with painted wood, pale oak or wicker for a relaxed, light-filled room. It also works well as a statement on a chair or blind where the yellow, pink and blue accents can sit against an otherwise calm scheme.

Use on an accent chair or curtains to let the bright meadow colours float over the creamy ground.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Avening Neutral/Multi without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
