Dobby Stripe Brick

Melford Weaves FabricSAF0160-03

Dobby Stripe Brick pairs slim vertical stripes with a brighter stripe rhythm that feels crisp and lightly playful. The cream ground keeps the palette airy, while the brick, aqua and sand tones give it a fresh, woven depth.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Melford Weaves collection is a substantial woven cloth at 496 gsm, with a usable width of 137 cm and a 35.2 cm horizontal repeat. The stripe pattern is set in narrow vertical runs, alternating warm brick red, soft aqua, pale sand and muted taupe on an ivory base. In this colourway the impression is clean and coastal rather than heavy, with the brighter aqua notes lifting the overall look. The visible dobby texture adds a subtle, tailored finish that suits cushions, armchairs and benches where a structured striped fabric is wanted.

How to use it

Use it on a small sofa, dining chair or ottoman to bring colour without overpowering a room. It sits especially well with painted timber, pale oak and other natural neutrals that let the brick-red stripes stand out.

A fresh striped weave for relaxed upholstery with a tailored, coastal feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
