The Stumpery Lichen

Highgrove by Sanderson Wallcoverings WallpaperSAW0233-01

The Stumpery Lichen is a detailed scenic wallpaper in softly faded lichen green, cream and sepia. Its woodland-like scene combines spreading trees, fern fronds, leafy plants and small architectural details in a gently weathered palette.

About this fabric

Printed at 130 gsm, this wallpaper has a 68.6 cm usable width and is supplied in a standard 10.05 m length. The design’s 60.5 cm vertical repeat allows the layered garden scene to build across the wall, with no horizontal repeat specified. Pale cream ground tones keep the composition light, while sage-lichen foliage and earthy brown highlights give the trees, ferns and distant details a subdued, antique depth. The overall effect is quieter and cooler than a strongly saturated botanical, with the sepia touches adding warmth to the green landscape.

How to use it

Use The Stumpery Lichen across a dining room, bedroom or reading space where its cool lichen greens can sit against cream upholstery and the warmer brown tones can be echoed in timber or aged finishes.

Pair the muted lichen, cream and sepia palette with natural timber, linen and warm neutral furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
