Ewe Cloth Russet/Midnight

Highgrove by Sanderson Fabrics FabricSAF0458-01

Ewe Cloth Russet/Midnight shows a lively woven grid of narrow stripes and short bars in deep blue, russet, cream and ochre. The colourway feels earthy yet animated, with the midnight tones giving the pattern extra depth against the warmer accents.

About this fabric

This fabric has a substantial 540 gsm weight and a 139 cm usable width, giving the woven design a grounded, upholstery-friendly handle. The repeat is a bold 57 cm vertically and 34.8 cm horizontally, which suits the strong block-and-stripe rhythm visible across the swatch. In this colourway, the navy and blue grounds read cool and dusk-like, while russet, tobacco, cream and gold details add a warm, autumnal lift. The texture looks tightly woven with clear thread definition, and the 92 threads per cm specification supports that crisp, detailed finish.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, ottoman or dining chair where the large-scale geometry can be seen from a little distance. The russet and midnight palette works especially well with walnut, aged brass and quiet neutral walls.

Pair with plain linens and timber to let the woven colour grid take centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
