Highgrove Toile Oak

Highgrove by Sanderson Fabrics FabricSAF0460-01

Highgrove Toile Oak shows Sanderson’s pastoral toile in a softened oak-toned rose print over a pale ground. The scene reads crisp but gently weathered, with the fine drawing and spacious lightness keeping the design from feeling heavy.

About this fabric

This fabric has a 141 cm usable width, a substantial 276 gsm weight and a 35.6 threads/cm construction, so it sits in a useful mid-weight range for both upholstery and drapery. The toile motif is large in scale, with an 82 cm vertical repeat and 70.5 cm horizontal repeat, which gives the landscape scenes room to breathe across a wider run. In this colourway the print comes through as a muted dusty rose with warm oak undertones, set against an off-white ground that lifts the detail and keeps the overall effect airy. The fine linework of trees, figures and foliate bands has an antique, slightly faded quality that feels traditional without looking stark.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a feature armchair, dining chair or relaxed curtains where the warm rose shading can soften darker timber and aged brass. It works especially well with ivory paint, walnut finishes and deep green accents to balance the toile’s formal country character.

Pair with warm wood and chalky neutrals to let the antique rose print feel refined rather than sweet.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
