King Protea Rhodera
Glasshouse Fabrics FabricSAF0279-01
King Protea Rhodera brings a lively protea garden to a soft pale ground, with painterly pink blooms and layered green foliage. The watercolour-style flowers give the print a fresh, decorative energy without feeling heavy.

About this fabric
This Sanderson fabric from the Glasshouse Fabrics collection has a usable width of 139 cm and a 252 gsm weight, making it a versatile mid-weight textile for either drapery or upholstery. The design shows large king protea heads in bright pink, blush and cream, threaded with sage and teal foliage that gives the pattern movement across the cloth. Against the light background, the colourway reads crisp and airy rather than dark or dense, with the pinks taking centre stage and the green stems keeping the look botanical. The 62 cm vertical repeat and full-width horizontal repeat support a bold all-over pattern that feels especially suited to statement schemes.
How to use it
Use this colourway in a sunroom, garden room or relaxed sitting room where the pink proteas can sit against painted whites, pale greens or warm neutrals. It also works well with rattan, oak and softly patterned cushions to echo the fabric’s fresh, painterly mood.
Pair with pale timber, linen textures and simple shapes to let the vivid protea print lead.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside King Protea Rhodera without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
