Palm House Ink/Teal

Glasshouse Fabrics FabricSAF0294-01

Palm House Ink/Teal sets a dramatic tropical scene, with layered palm fronds drawn in bright teal, mint and sea-green tones across a deep ink background. The contrast gives the design a cool, nocturnal feel rather than a sunlit one.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Glasshouse Fabrics collection has a usable width of 139 cm and a substantial 236 gsm weight, making it well suited to tailored furnishings. The large-scale palm repeat, with a vertical repeat of 77.5 cm and a horizontal repeat of 68 cm, creates a confident all-over pattern with strong movement. The ink-toned ground reads almost navy-black, while the fronds bring a sharper teal and pale mint lift that keeps the design vivid. At 74 threads per cm, the surface looks finely woven and crisp, with enough structure to hold the bold print cleanly.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a statement armchair, ottoman or cushion-led scheme where the deep ground can anchor brighter greens or pale neutrals. It also works well in a moody conservatory-inspired room, especially with rattan, lacquered accents or aged brass.

Pair with polished woods and brass to let the lush palm motif feel dramatic and tailored.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
