Jackfruit Fig/Olive

Glasshouse Fabrics FabricSAF0289-02

Jackfruit in Fig/Olive is a richly illustrated botanical fabric with ripe fruit, seed pods and layered leaves scattered across a warm cream ground. The fig and olive palette gives the design a lush, slightly vintage energy that feels detailed and expressive rather than sugary.

About this fabric

Printed on a 252gsm cloth with a usable width of 139 cm, this fabric has the substance to work for both upholstery and drapery. The design repeats at 62 cm vertically and 92 cm horizontally, which suits the generous, sprawling layout of the fruit and foliage motif. In this colourway, deep fig reds, olive greens and touches of mustard sit against a soft cream ground, so the pattern reads vivid but not harsh. The woven surface appears crisp and finely detailed, with enough body to hold the intricate artwork clearly across the width. There are no performance features noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use it to bring colour to a statement armchair, ottoman or occasional curtains where the fig tones can sit alongside oak, aged brass or terracotta. It also works well as the lead fabric in a room layered with warm neutrals, letting the olive leaves and red fruit provide the movement.

Pair with plain linens or velvet for a lively but grounded scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
