Glasshouse Fabrics FabricSAF0286-01

Hampton Weave Indigo shows a crisp geometric lattice in deep indigo and pale thread, giving the swatch a tailored, architectural feel. The motif reads cleanly across the surface, with the lighter outline standing out against the dense blue ground.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Glasshouse Fabrics design is a substantial 325 gsm textile with a usable width of 138 cm, making it well suited to upholstery work that needs body and structure. The pattern repeat is 24 cm vertically and 23 cm horizontally, and the repeated interlocking forms create a measured, rhythmic surface. In this colourway, the indigo ground looks cool and saturated, while the pale pattern threads soften the geometry and lift the design visually. The high thread count of 122 threads per cm suggests a tightly woven cloth with a refined finish rather than a loose, rustic handle.

How to use it

Use this indigo colourway on a chair, bench or ottoman where the strong geometry can act as a feature. It works especially well with chalky neutrals, brushed brass and painted wood, which balance the cool depth of the blue.

Pair with crisp white or pale oak to keep the indigo pattern feeling fresh and architectural.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
