Tulipomania Ink

Glasshouse Wallpapers WallpaperSAW0135-02

Tulipomania Ink places loose, painterly tulips against a deep ink-blue ground, with blush pink, ivory, lilac and yellow blooms appearing like cut flowers suspended in darkness. The cool, saturated background gives each pale and jewel-toned petal striking depth.

About this wallpaper

The design is visibly large scale, with long pale stems and open tulip heads scattered across a subtly textured-looking ink ground. Blush pink and soft ivory flowers sit alongside violet-striped petals and a warm yellow bloom, creating a colourway that feels richly contrasted rather than bright or sugary. The supplied specification gives a usable width of 137 cm, a standard length of 1.19 m and a vertical pattern repeat of 119.8 cm. It also records a 0 cm horizontal repeat and a weight of 370 gsm, useful details when planning the drop and aligning this vertically repeating wallpaper.

How to use it

Use Tulipomania Ink on a feature wall in a drawing room, bedroom or dining space where its deep navy-blue ground can envelop the room. Pick up the artwork’s blush, lilac or muted yellow in upholstery, painted joinery or small lampshades, while keeping larger furnishings calm so the flowers retain their layered detail.

A dramatic ink-blue floral wallpaper that lets soft pink, lilac, ivory and yellow tulips become the room’s main event.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Tulipomania Ink without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
