Orwell Raspberry

Orwell Weaves FabricSAF0449-03

Orwell Raspberry is a finely striped woven fabric in a soft raspberry pink, set over a pale ground for a crisp, tailored look. The tiny vertical lines give it a neat, rhythmic surface with just enough colour to feel lively.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Orwell Weaves collection has a usable width of 141 cm and a substantial 316 gsm weight, which gives the cloth a sturdy, upholstered feel. The pattern repeat is minimal at 1 cm horizontally and 0 cm vertically, so the stripe reads as a tight, orderly texture rather than a bold graphic. In this colourway, the raspberry note sits between pink and muted berry, with a dry, woven finish that softens the brightness and keeps it looking refined. The close threads per cm count of 83 supports the fabric’s crisp, detailed surface and makes the fine stripe especially well defined.

How to use it

Pair Orwell Raspberry with painted woods, pale neutrals or darker berry accents to let the stripe add colour without dominating. It works well on a chair, bench or upholstered headboard where the narrow vertical rhythm can lift a simple silhouette.

Use to add a polished berry accent without overwhelming a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
