Bryndle Check Honey/Grey

Islay Wools FabricSAF0248-03

Bryndle Check Honey/Grey shows a soft, heritage check with warm honey blocks and fine grey lines over a pale beige ground. The brushed wool look gives the design a muted, cosy finish rather than a crisp tartan effect.

About this fabric

Bryndle Check Honey/Grey is part of Sanderson’s Islay Wools collection and has a substantial 383 gsm handle with a useful 142 cm width, making it a practical woven fabric for interiors. The check is built from warm honey-gold bands, washed beige ground tones and slender grey pinstripes, so the pattern reads softly rather than starkly. At 36 cm vertically and 35.5 cm horizontally, the repeat feels confidently scaled and suits statement pieces without becoming overpowering. The surface looks gently napped and woolly, which adds depth to the lighter ground and makes the warmer stripes appear especially inviting.

How to use it

This colourway works well in rooms that need warmth without heaviness, especially alongside aged oak, painted cream woodwork and muted metal finishes. It would bring a relaxed, tailored feel to an armchair, window seat or curtain lining where the honey tone can glow in natural light.

Use it for a classic country feel that still works neatly on upholstery or full-length curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bryndle Check Honey/Grey without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
