About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Islay Wools collection has a substantial 383gsm handle and a usable width of 141 cm, making it suited to structured upholstery projects. The check is small in scale, with a 15.8 cm vertical repeat and 15.5 cm horizontal repeat, so the pattern reads as orderly and textural rather than bold. In this colourway, the grey ground is softened by pale natural tones, while the cinnamon lines add a discreet warmth that shows most clearly where the light catches the weave. With 27.5 threads per cm, the surface appears tightly woven and slightly brushed, giving the design a classic woollen character.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, bench seat or ottoman where the muted grey ground can sit comfortably with oak, painted timber and aged brass. It also works well in a relaxed scheme with cream wool throws and dusky brown accents.

A softly weathered check that works beautifully on tailored seating and country-style cushions.
