About this fabric

From the Islay Wools collection by Sanderson, this fabric is woven in a substantial 383 gsm and has a usable width of 142 cm, making it well suited to upholstery. The check repeats at 36 cm vertically and 35.5 cm horizontally, which gives the design a bold but orderly scale across larger pieces. Visually, the palette reads as a muted mulberry and dusty rose check against a light fig-toned ground, with fine blue-green and charcoal lines adding definition. The woolly texture softens the contrasts so the overall effect feels warm, slightly rustic and gently tailored rather than sharp.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, banquette or occasional sofa where the medium-scale check can be seen properly. The pink-berry tones work especially well with pale oak, weathered timber and soft greys, bringing colour without feeling bright.

A warm tartan-style check that softens beautifully on statement seating or a cosy armchair.
