Boho Velvets Indigo

Icaria and Boho Velvets VelvetSAF0133-05

Boho Velvets Indigo is a dense, low-sheen velvet in a deep inky blue that reads cool and quietly dramatic in the swatch. The pile catches the light softly, giving the surface a shaded, almost moody depth.

About this fabric

This Indigo colourway is shown as a plain velvet with a subtle nap, so the surface shifts between dark navy and blue-black as it moves. With a weight of 765gsm and 48 threads per cm, it has the substantial feel expected of a hard-wearing upholstery velvet rather than a light drape cloth. The usable width is 140 cm, giving a practical making-up width for sofas, chairs and cushions. No performance finish is noted, so it is best specified for interiors where the fabric’s natural richness is the focus.

How to use it

Use this cool indigo on a sofa, deep-buttoned chair or ottoman for a tailored, grounded look. It pairs well with pale oak, brushed brass and chalky neutrals that let the velvet’s dark blue depth stand out.

A richly coloured velvet that brings depth and polish to tailored seating.

Pairs well with

Boho Velvets Indigo is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
