Barcelona Teal combines deep blue-green velvet with a densely layered patchwork of botanical, geometric and painterly fragments. Rust, cream, charcoal and muted blue accents catch across the design, giving the teal ground considerable visual depth.

About this fabric

This richly detailed velvet features repeated rectangular panels filled with foliage, floral forms, birdlike motifs and small-scale geometric borders. Its dominant Barcelona Teal shade reads cool and saturated, while rust-orange highlights and softly aged cream details create contrast without losing the darker, collected mood. The softly napped surface adds a subtle change of tone as the light moves across the cloth. Made from 55% viscose and 45% cotton, it is 136 cm wide and has a 50,000 Martindale rub test for fixed and loose upholstery, as well as curtains and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Barcelona Teal on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered bed where its intricate teal, navy and rust collage can be appreciated up close. Full-length curtains would emphasise the velvet’s depth while picking up the warm rust and cream notes in the pattern.
