Barcelona Indigo

Barcelona Indigo is a dense patchwork velvet built from deep indigo, petrol blue and teal, punctuated by cream, rust and berry-red details. Its layered floral, bird and ornamental imagery gives the colourway a richly collected, tapestry-like character.

About this fabric

The cool indigo ground creates depth across the irregular panels, while turquoise highlights, warm terracotta, burgundy and pale cream motifs prevent the design from reading as flat navy. Fine botanical forms, birds, paisley-like shapes and decorative borders are visibly woven into a highly detailed large-scale composition. This 55% viscose, 45% cotton velvet is 136 cm wide, with a 132 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 68 cm horizontal repeat. A 50,000 Martindale rub test makes it suitable for loose and fixed upholstery as well as curtains and bedspreads; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Pair Barcelona Indigo with chalky cream, aged brass and dark timber to draw out its lighter motifs, or layer it with teal and burgundy accents for a more dramatic, collected interior. Its deep cool tone works especially well on a statement chair, sofa, headboard or full-length curtain.

Use this richly patterned indigo velvet to bring depth and ornament to upholstered seating, headboards or statement cushions.
