Montpellier Velvet Indigo is a deep, cool blue velvet with a near-navy depth. Its plain surface shows gentle tonal shifts as the pile catches the light, rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, this 140 cm (55") velvet is specified for curtains, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. On the swatch, indigo moves between blue-black shadow and clearer blue where the nap turns, giving the plain cloth quiet dimension. With a 100,000 Martindale rub test, it brings a hard-wearing specification to upholstered pieces. Care instructions call for a cool machine wash as the minimum wash, professional dry cleaning, no tumble drying or bleach, and a cool iron.

How to use it

Use the cool, saturated indigo on an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard when the room needs deep blue definition without a pattern. It can also bring a rich navy note to curtains or a bedspread, especially alongside pale neutrals, warm timber or brushed metal.
