About this fabric
The swatch shows an uninterrupted cranberry-red surface with gentle tonal shading where the velvet pile catches the light. The colour is deep and saturated rather than bright scarlet, bringing a warm, dramatic depth to the plain texture. Made from 100% polyester, it is 140 cm wide and suitable for curtains, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 100,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on frequently used upholstered pieces; care instructions specify a cool machine wash minimum, professional dry cleaning, no tumble drying, no bleach and a cool iron.
How to use it
Use this deep cranberry velvet on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard to build a rich focal point, balancing its saturated red with warm neutrals, dark timber or aged brass. As curtains or a bedspread, its softly light-catching pile will add depth without introducing a pattern.
A richly toned cranberry velvet for upholstered seating, headboards, bedspreads and dramatic curtains.

Pairs well with
Montpellier Velvet Cranberry is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
