Montpellier Velvet Sienna is a plain, warm sienna-orange velvet with a softly shifting nap. The close-up shows an even colour field, with gentle darker and lighter passages as the pile catches the light.

About this fabric

This 100% polyester velvet has a saturated sienna-orange tone that reads warm, earthy and softly burnished rather than bright. Its plain surface is defined by a smooth pile, with subtle tonal variation visible where the nap changes direction. At 140 cm wide and tested to 100,000 Martindale rubs, it is specified for curtains, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The supplied care guidance allows a cool machine wash as the minimum wash, while also requiring professional dry cleaning; it must not be tumble dried or bleached and should be cool ironed.

How to use it

Use this warm sienna shade to give a sofa, occasional chair or headboard a richly grounded focal point. It can also bring a softly glowing colour block to curtains or a bedspread, especially alongside cream, tobacco and natural timber.
