About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, this 137 cm-wide velvet has a substantial appearance suited to fixed upholstery while remaining appropriate for curtains and bedspreads. Its 100,000 Martindale rub test provides a clear performance specification for upholstered use. The taupe colour reads warm and muted rather than grey, with subtle depth created by the nap instead of a printed motif. After care is specified as cool machine washing where suitable, professional dry cleaning, no tumble drying, no bleach and cool ironing.

How to use it

Use this warm taupe on a tailored armchair, sofa or headboard to add restrained velvet depth without introducing a strong pattern. It also makes calm, softly shaded curtains or a bedspread that sit comfortably with cream, natural timber and darker brown accents.
